Juegos malabares

By the late nineties, I used to write music for solo guitar. As I haven’t actively played such an enormous instrument for years, none of those pieces had been yet properly recorded nor published.

When this subject was mentioned in conversation with Tony Mizen, he kindly asked to get some scores to study the pieces. Last Summer he surprised me with this rendition of Juegos malabares which I had composed in 1999 and occasionally played in my guitar recitals.

This quirky, fun piece (translation is ‘Juggling’) is just the sort of music I enjoy playing.

Juegos malabares for guitar is now the first guitar score published by The Ukulele Bookshop.
