50 Miniature Studies for Ukulele

Published on January 19, 2019

I’m currently working in the serial publication of a set of 50 short studies for ukulele, less than one minute long each, titled 50 Miniature Studies for Ukulele.

I started the project in February and its publication on video will be completed by the end of July mid August, 2019.

This collection compiles pieces created to develop diverse musical performance abilities and fingerpicking techniques: arpeggios, campanella, alternate thumb

Each week I release new videos that you can enjoy through YouTube (subscribe to my channel), Instagram, and Facebook.

Along with each video, I publish its tablature –and some brief notes on the performance– on Patreon.

Patreon is a service that allows people to directly support musicians and artists.

By becoming a patron –that’s the price of a coffee, a breakfast or a gin and tonic per month, depending on the tier you opt in– you’ll get access to:

  • The score & tablature for each study, available as a downloadable & printable PDF;

  • A private post with comments and notes about the performance of each piece;

  • A downloadable .mp3 + the possibility of following the project via any Podcast app;

  • Live lessons;

  • Plus other goodies, such as discounts for the digital albums I publish on Bandcamp.

These are the benefits available for each tier.

If you are interested in any particular tab but aren’t ready to commit as a patron, single tabs are available through Payhip.

Demo tabs

Some fellow ukelelists have shared my tabs on the website to contribute to spreading the project:

This is the list of the studies I’ve already released, including links to their videos on YouTube and the tablatures on Patreon.

The album

After the release of the videos, I’ll enter the recording study to work on an album that will include all 50 pieces. That’ll get published as a digital edition, including a PDF book of tablatures, via Bandcamp. I expect to get it finished and published November, 2019.
